What Makes a Good Marriage?

This year is my parents’ 26th wedding anniversary. 26 years. That is a long long time. Longer than I have been alive. Thinking of my own parents’ very long marriage, it has made me wonder what it takes to make it work for so long.
As I have been passing 1 month down yet for my own marrige with my truly best friend Wahyu Ardiansyah, hopefully we're not only have a beautiful marriage but also a lifetime of happiness! So I thought I’d ask you. What do you think makes a good marriage? What do you wish someone had told you just before you walked down the hall? Are the things that make a good marriage the same things that make a good life?
